Anne Marie studied fine art at Crawford College of Art & Design, Co Cork; and went on to do a post graduate diploma in fine art print at the University of Ulster, Belfast.
In 2001/2003 she lived in Italy’s Veneto region. The exquisite light of Italy has greatly influenced her work; and landscapes in particular. Anne Marie moved to West Cork ten years ago and finally settled in Baltimore.
Anne Marie’s work has a wide range of influences; from the dramatic skies and bustling harbours of West Cork; the vast windswept beaches of Achill Island; to the drowsy Italian vineyards of Italy’s Veneto region. Anne Marie uses coloured Mi Teintes paper, hot oranges, warm yellows and soft pinks which create a warm glow through her pastel grey skies and seas.
